April 4 Webinar: Tools and Applications for Naturalistic Driving Data

Learn about ways to take advantage of the Strategic Highway Research Program 2 Naturalistic Driving Study (SHRP 2 NDS), an enormous dataset on driving behavior, in an upcoming April 4, 2018 webinar.

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) and other US federal agencies collected a set of naturalistic driving data collected from over 3,400 drivers, and they have now made these data available for use by qualified researchers. (Learn more by clicking here.)

Scientists who are interested in learning about tools for using this dataset, and examples of applications for it, should consider attending a Wednesday, April 4, 2018, webinar hosted by the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, one of the program organizers. The webinar will be held from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM EDT.

“In this webinar a sample of different tools that have been developed with or are useful for using on the SHRP 2 NDS data will be presented. The discussion will touch on advanced data analytics and machine learning approaches that have been applied to SHRP 2 NDS data, viewer and data manipulation tools that have been created to simplify data coding and analysis, and a visualization and data analysis tool for RADAR time series data,” the solicitation reads.
