Registration Triage Test
The APS Annual Convention is an international psychological science conference featuring invited and submitted content from all areas of the field. Registration gives full access to the Convention, including plenary sessions, the APS Awards Ceremony, symposia, addresses, submitted talks, flash talks, posters, educational sessions, coffee breaks, and receptions, unless otherwise noted. Name badges and Convention materials will be issued on-site at the registration desk.

Registration Discounts
Early-Bird Discount
Register before Wednesday, 8 April 2026, and save with early-bird rates. Regular registration rates are available Thursday, 9 April – Wednesday, 6 May 2026. Registration rates increase after Wednesday, 6 May 2026.
APS Member Discount
Current APS membership is required to be eligible for member rates. You can join or renew your membership while you register for the Convention.
Reduced Rates for APS Members in Developing Countries
Reduced Convention registration rates are available to all APS members living in countries defined as low and lower-middle income by the World Bank. These rates are automatically applied during the Convention registration process. If you are not already an APS member, reduced membership dues rates are available to scientists in countries defined as low and lower-middle income. These are automatically applied during the membership join process. See the APS Membership page for more information.
Groups Attending Convention

Industry Day
NEW! The 2026 Annual Convention will also include an Industry Day – programming that explores psychological science in non-academic settings. This is an outstanding opportunity to see how psychological science is being applied in real world settings as well as the kind of work psychological scientists do in non-academic environments. Industry Day is open to all Convention attendees and is free of charge.
Pre-Conference Teaching Institute Session
The pre-conference Teaching Institute Session features talks from leading experts in the research and application of empirical approaches to teaching psychological science and a poster session. The pre-conference Teaching Institute begins on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, and continues all day Thursday, 28 May 2026. The Teaching Institute is open to Convention registrants only and can be added to Convention registration as a session for an additional fee.
Workshop Sessions
The APS Annual Convention includes extended educational sessions that offer attendees the opportunity to learn research methods and techniques from prominent psychological scientists. Workshops are open to Convention registrants only and require additional registration fees. Workshops can be added when you register for the APS Convention.

Guest Policy
APS offers one (1) guest registration for non-psychological scientists who may wish to accompany you at the APS Annual Convention. Anyone presenting at the Convention is ineligible to register as a guest. All presenters must register and pay the full registration fee. If you’d like to have a guest accompany you at the Convention, please add a guest registration for $199 when registering online or visit the Registration Desk on-site and pay the $199 guest fee. Guest registration provides full access to the Convention, including plenary sessions, symposia, flash talks, posters, and educational sessions (unless otherwise noted), and all coffee breaks and receptions. For guests attending Convention to only view a single submission presentation during its scheduled timeslot, please see the Registration Desk for a temporary pass to a single session; no fee is required.
Cancellations & Refund Requests
All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by Wednesday, 6 May 2026. No refunds will be issued after Wednesday, 6 May 2026. A refund of the Convention fee, minus a 35% cancellation processing fee, will be given for cancellations received by Wednesday, 6 May 2026. Submit all cancellation requests to the APS Meetings Department via email at [email protected]. Please allow 10-14 business days for refund processing.
Registration substitutions are accepted prior to Convention up until the regular registration deadline of Wednesday, 6 May 2026. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution. Access to the Convention is limited to the registered individual. Sharing your Convention credentials or Convention content is prohibited. Submit all substitution requests to the APS Meetings Department via email at [email protected].
