Roundtable Presentation Guidelines

Congratulations on the Acceptance of Your Roundtable Session! 

We’re excited to have you lead an engaging, interactive discussion with fellow psychological scientists from around the world at the 2025 APS Global Psychological Science Summit! 


Session Format & Schedule 

Roundtable sessions are live, free-flowing, 45-minute video discussions with up to 25 attendees. Each session will take place in a dedicated video room on the APS Global Summit event platform. 

Session Format: 

  • Introduction: Brief overview of the research or topic by the Organizer and/or Co-Presenter, approximately 5–7 minutes. You may share your screen to include slides and other visuals. 
  • Open Discussion: Use the remaining time for discussion with attendees. 
  • Total Time: 45-minutes; rooms will close automatically at the end of the session. 
  • Please log in to the platform 10 minutes before your scheduled session time, so you are ready to start your session when the session time begins

Session Time Slots 

Your roundtable session has been scheduled in one of the following time slots, based on the availability preferences noted at the time of submission.

Please note that all scheduled times are listed in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The Global Summit Event Platform will convert the scheduled times to your local time zone. For your convenience, you may use this Time Zone Conversion Tool to view session times in your local time zone.

Day 1 – Tuesday, October 21, 2025 

  • 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm EDT (16:00 – 16:45 UTC)
  • 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm EDT (17:00 – 17:45 UTC)

Day 2 – Wednesday, October 22, 2025  

  • 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm EDT (21:00 – 21:45 UTC)
  • 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm EDT (23:00 – 23:45 UTC)

Day 3 – Thursday, October 23, 2025   

  • 9:00 am – 9:45 am EDT (13:00 – 13:45 UTC)
  • 11:00 am – 11:45 am EDT (15:00 – 15:45 UTC)

What to Expect During Your Session 

Each roundtable takes place in a dedicated video room on the APS Global Summit Event Platform.  

Here’s how your roundtable session will work: 

  • Please log in to the platform 10 minutes before your scheduled session time, so you are ready to start your session when the session time begins.
  • APS staff may be present in some roundtable sessions to provide support if needed, but Organizers and Co-Presenters are responsible for starting and facilitating the session. 
  • Present a brief introduction of the research or topic (5–7 minutes), then lead a discussion with attendees. Note each roundtable session accommodates up to 25 attendees
  • Use the screen sharing feature to show slides or visuals. 
  • Engage via live chat during the session. 
  • Sessions last 45 minutes and will close automatically at the end of the session. 
  • Roundtable sessions are not recorded

Registration and Event Platform Access 

All participants must register and pay the appropriate registration fee to access the APS Global Summit event platform. The APS Global Summit event platform will open to registered attendees on Monday, October 20, 2025

Additional Information 

In the upcoming months, the Organizer and Co-Presenter on each roundtable session will receive detailed instructions on APS Global Summit event platform access and roundtable session presentations.
