Submit by April 15: Behavior, Energy, and Climate Change Conference

The Behavior, Energy, and Climate Change (BECC) conference invites psychological scientists to submit presentations, posters, or panels for its upcoming conference October 7-10, 2018, in Washington, DC.

BECC is a conference focused on understanding the behavior and decision making of individuals and organizations, and using that knowledge to accelerate a transition to an energy-efficient and low-carbon future. The theme of the 2018 BECC conference is “Building Bridges,” which emphasizes the role that the behavioral sciences can play in achieving solutions to climate change.

Presenters at the BECC conference will join myriad behavioral and social scientists discussing relevant topics, including a panel titled “Mining Minds for a Better World: Pioneers Talk About Environmental Social Science Research.” In this panel, APS Past Board Member Elke Weber, APS Fellow Robert Gifford, and others will discuss promising methods for promoting pro-environmental behavior.
