Integrative Science Symposium – Solutions to our most pressing scientific questions come from cross-cutting efforts in which investigators deploy diverse research methods and attack problems at multiple levels of analysis. ICPS will showcase these efforts in thematic Integrative Science Symposia featuring leading investigators from not only psychological science, but also neuroscience, genetics, sociology, economics, anthropology, linguistics, and related fields. Integrative Science Symposia will be paired with Cutting-Edge Methodological Workshops that will provide scientific skill-building opportunities for all conference attendees.

Workshop – A central part of the mission of the ICPS is to promote skill-building in integrative psychological science. The program includes workshops by some of the field’s leading experts on various cutting-edge methodologies designed to teach participants practical skills, techniques or ideas. There is no additional charge for these workshops; they are included with ICPS registration.

Pre-conference Teaching Institute –  The pre-conference Teaching Institute features talks from leading experts in the research and application of empirical approaches to teaching psychological science and a poster session. The pre-conference Teaching Institute is open to ICPS attendees only and requires an additional fee.

Invited or Submitted Symposium– A symposium is a focused session in which individual speakers present their research on a common issue. A symposium includes a chair, three to four presenters, and a discussant (optional). Symposia should have the dual goals of providing diversity of perspective and integrating those perspectives into a meaningful whole.

Poster– Posters offer the opportunity for individual presenters to present data and have substantive discussions with interested colleagues. The audience circulates among the posters, stopping to discuss research of particular interest to them. Authors present their research using a visual medium with key information displayed  free-standing bulletin board.
