Keyword: Self-ControlAbstract: This study examines daily links between effortless and effortful self-control strategies, goal attainment, and affective well-being using ecological momentary assessment. We test whether strategy type predicts well-being and heart rate variability, and whether goal attainment moderates these effects. Trait self-control is explored as a potential moderator of strategy effectiveness.
