Group and Individual Differences in Self-Construal Predict Source Memory in Canadian Undergraduates of White, South Asian (SA), and Southeast Asian (SEA) Heritage

Keyword: MemoryAbstract: White, SA, or SEA heritage students completed a source memory task with items paired with an interpersonal or individual context. SEA students reported higher interdependence vs. SA/White students on one aspect of self-construal. Another dimension of self-construal predicted source memory, reflecting group and individual effects of culture on memory.
