Keyword: Childhood AdversityAbstract: This study examines the effect of low SES on academic performance. Students from a low-income area self-reported academic performance and individual well-being. A prevalent factor contributing to academic success was parental presence. This affected resilience. Results suggested a strong relationship between socioeconomic status and academic struggles, mediated by parental support.
