Neural Dynamics of Numerical Change: ERP Evidence for Directional and Magnitude-Specific Processing
Posters
Keyword: Human FactorsAbstract: This 128-channel EEG study examined neural responses to numerical change. Participants (n=24) viewed dot arrays (1–6) and responded to numerosity changes. Parietal ERP analyses revealed that decreasing changes and smaller quantities elicited shallower N1 components and earlier, higher P3b amplitudes, highlighting distinct neurocognitive processing of numerical magnitude and directionality.
