Keyword: Music and ArtsAbstract: This study is proposed to explore if any intra-hemispheric competition or inter-hemispheric compensation may occur within and between the two hemispheres regarding the stimulus characteristics, including musical emotions and familiarity, during auditory musical perception. It provides insights in how the two hemispheres interact in complex cognitive processes.
