Inhibition, Cognitive Flexibility, and Academic Performance in College Youth with Depressive Symptoms.

Keyword: Decision MakingAbstract: This study examined inhibitory control and cognitive flexibility in 130 college students with varying depressive symptoms. Results showed preserved executive function overall, except in students with suicidal ideation, who exhibited slower inhibition (p = 0.02). Academic performance declined with major depression (p = 0.01), while cognitive flexibility remained stable.
