New Directions in Role Model Research: Broadening the Scope of Who and How Individuals Can Serve As Role Models for Underrepresented Students
This symposium presents exciting new advances in role model research. Two studies demonstrate how traditional role model manipulations can be effectively tailored to support underrepresented students, and two studies demonstrate how, under certain conditions, individuals who are not typically viewed as role models can serve as such for underrepresented students.
