Sunday, May 26, 2019 · Washington, DC

Oral · Developmental

This symposium presents three studies examining how academic motivation and SEL are related to students’ achievement in reading, mathematics, and science. These studies investigate students’ gender and race/ethnicity differences regarding the relationships among motivation, SEL, academic achievement, and contextual backgrounds, by using national representative samples from elementary to high school.
