Abstract
We studied the effects of self-affirmation (SA) bias and academic versus empathetic information on cisgenderist attitudes reflected in written reactions to mock research articles about transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) people. Results showed SA bias and information type interactions among participants’ definitions and subjective reactions to research about TGNC people.
