Gender and Leadership: Differences in Stereotypes Regarding Latinx, Asian, and White Women Relative to Leader Stereotypes

Research on gender and leadership shows difference between stereotypes about leaders and about women negatively impact perceptions of female leaders. However, stereotypes about women may vary with the woman’s race. We compared stereotypes about Latinx, Asian, and White women to leader stereotypes on 19 dimensions, finding several differences by race.
