Abstract

We explored the role of Big 5 personality traits and prior group experiences on preferences for group work (PGW). Conscientiousness negatively predicted PGW, whereas positive prior experiences positively predicted PGW. Both personality and experience uniquely predicted PGW. Interventions designed to enhance positive attitudes towards group work are discussed.
