Lessons from Learning: Cognitive Science Informs Practices and Clinical Decision-Making in Craniomaxillofacial Trauma

Evidence Based Medicine is an approach to clinical decision-making. Application to craniomaxillofacial trauma is possible because of clinical research growth. However, studies have identified disparities between surgeon practice and evidence that supports best practices. Practice gaps were addressed through a medical education activity informed by current principles of cognitive science.
