Abstract

How would feeling socially excluded contribute to suicidal thoughts? It was proposed that social exclusion or ostracism leads to social thoughts through its influence on people's perceived meaning in life. Our studies provided converging empirical support to this proposition. Alternative mechanisms were compared and discussed.
