Abstract
The National Survey of American Life-Adolescent Supplement (NSAL-A) identifies 12-month prevalence rates of DSM-IV psychiatric disorders for Black American adolescents. In 2001-2003, 13.6%, 4.3%, and 27.8% of youth met diagnostic criteria for any anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, and any disorder respectively. COVID-19 initiated new importance in this DSM-IV data.
