Abstract
The number of immigrants vulnerable to deportation in the United States implies that more people must live in fear of a loved one’s deportation. Building on previous qualitative, dichotomous, and single-item measures, we developed and validated the Fear of Deportation of Close Others scale. Implications and future directions are discussed.
