The Role of Career Development and Identity Formation on Mental Health Outcomes

This study investigates the relationship between career development and mental health in college students. Stronger career identity and fewer barriers to career attainment were associated with decreased anxiety and depression and increased life satisfaction and positive affect. These findings highlight the importance of career development for optimal mental health.
