Abstract
EEG was recorded from students during lecture-based classes to determine if cycles in EEG activity indicative of cognitive engagement were present. Cycles lasting 20 minutes were present among students in 8 AM classes, but no consistent cycles in EEG activity were observed among students attending class later in the day.
