Abstract

Researchers used quantitative methods to empirically examine the relationship between gender expression and self-objectification among sexual minority women. A correlational analysis revealed that self-objectification was positively correlated with gender expression through appearance and gender expression through gender roles, while self-objectification was negatively correlated with gender expression through emotional expression.
