Reactions to Suicidal Communications: A Measure Development and Validation Pilot Study

This study describes the development and validation of a novel measure of reactions to suicidal communications. Using a bifactor model, the general dimension subsumed three subscales: helpful (e.g., supportive, empathic), unhelpful (e.g., avoidant, blaming) reactions offered by a source of support, and referrals to other sources of help.
