Abstract

Lockdown measures and emotion regulation strategies impacted individuals’ mental health. In a longitudinal preregistered study, 632 participants (42.72% in Peru, 57.28% in France), we found that life satisfaction/positive emotions were substantially lower during confinement compared to post-confinement. A SEM revealed that both emotion regulation’ dimensions predicted subjective wellbeing changes.
