Abstract
This study examined racial differences in childhood parental bonding (warmth or overprotection) in an ethnically diverse sample of young adult females and evaluated whether these differences predicted autonomic stress reactivity. Relative to White and Latinx women, Asian women reported lower parental warmth and exhibited greater sympathetic reactivity during stress.
