Abstract

Self-Determination Theory research has shown that supporting each of the psychological needs, relatedness, competence, and autonomy, facilitates intrinsic motivation. This study extends that research with independent and simultaneous manipulation of all three need-supports in a 2x2x2 factorial design. Main effects and interactions among need supports are presented.
