Can Authority Influence Misinformation? the Relationship between Misinformation and Eyewitness Accuracy

Mistaken identification by eyewitnesses was involved in 72% of the cases where people were later exonerated. There has been a large movement supporting eyewitnesses being unreliable. Misinformation has been widely studied; however, the presence of authority could impact this phenomena. This study will examine the relationship between authority and misinformation.
