Abstract
This study examined how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) influence approach and avoidance social goals, with emotion processing as a mediator. A significant indirect mediation effect was found, suggesting that poor emotion processing skills mediate the relationship between greater ACEs and more avoidance but less approach social goals.
