The Impact of the Cross Race Effect on Eyewitness Identification

Abstract

With an aim towards reducing wrongful convictions, we examined the effects of gender and the cross-race effect on eyewitness identification accuracy. Our results did not find an impact of either variable on eyewitness identification accuracy, potentially due to more explicit bias and anti-bias.
