Abstract
Non-autistic 4- to 7-year-old children are accepting of some autistic-like behaviors, but they disapprove of gaze aversion while a teacher is talking. Additionally, explaining an autistic child’s diagnosis may have the unintended effect of decreasing 4- to 5-year-olds’ acceptance of their autistic peers.
