Associations between Negative Expectancies and Mental Health Challenges Among Sexual Minority Adolescents

Negative expectations of sexuality-based discrimination are a form of minority stress that were associated with heightened anxiety and depression symptoms among a United States nationwide sample of sexual minority adolescents (SMA). Findings highlight the deleterious effects of negative expectancies on SMA mental health.
