Abstract
This study examines mental health among college students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Psychological outcomes between those with close relationships versus distant relationships to those with COVID-19 were compared. Close relationships to COVID-19 patients used more maladaptive emotion regulation and coping strategies. Future research will examine long-term implications of these relationships.
