School Belonging and Psychological Well-Being in First-Generation College Students: The Role of Barriers to Online Learning

Abstract
We examined the moderating role of online learning on the relationship between school belonging and mental health for first-generation college students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Analyses indicated that greater belonging predicted fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety, but barriers to online learning weakened the effect of belonging on depressive symptomatology.
