Understanding the Experience of Chronic Pain and Stigma: Gender and Income

Many who suffer from chronic pain also endure stigma and prejudice, yet little is known about the sociodemographic factors associated with these experiences. Our study revealed that low-income individuals with chronic pain experience more stigma and report poorer emotional, physical, and general health when compared to high-income groups.
