Abstract
We report a novel finding that people systematically prioritize immediate (me now, here, and certain) over expanded (me in the future, far away, and uncertain) self-relevant information. The prioritization effects lasted over 4 months but showed inconsistent cross-domain correlations indicating potentially separate processes across temporal, social, spatial, and probable self-information.
