Abstract
In an empirical study of self-reported disclosures of meaningful religious experiences, people (N=316) disclosed to those whom they perceived to be religiously similar to themselves. Disclosure was associated with greater positive affect. Religiously dissimilar romantic partners displayed a stronger association between disclosure and relationship satisfaction than did more similar partners.
