Myvirtualchild Is an Effective Alternative to a Human Child for Cognitive Development Case Study Assignment

Cognitive Development students conducted case studies on ‘virtual’ children using Pearson’s MyVirtualChild, a child development simulation program. Instructor’s evaluations and student self-reports indicated that students met objectives of study design and course material application using MyVirtualChild. We present instructional materials and procedure for conducting a virtual child case study assignment.
