Abstract
“Willed attention” refers to a form of purely voluntary attention where there are no external cues guiding attention; that is, only fully volitional decisions drive attentional control. Using machine learning methods and EEG, we have tracked the time course of willed attention in an unconstrained visual selective attention task.
