The Relationships between Numeracy, Numerosity Discrimination, Estimation, and Proportion Estimation

This study examined whether there is the relationship between numeracy and the efficiency of approximate number system (ANS) for adults. There was a weak or negligible relationship between the numeracy and ANS tasks. The results implied ANS is not so strong basis for the numerical activities carried out by adults.
