Do Experienced Bowlers Exhibit the “Spare Fallacy?”

Inexperienced bowlers are more confident in converting two-pin spares than comparable one-pin spares, even though they are actually less likely to convert them. The present study shows that experienced bowlers do not share this misconception. Unlike many other cognitive illusions, this “spare fallacy” is corrected through experience.
