Benefits of a New Gamification Intervention on Team Cohesion and Effectiveness Among Chinese Employees

Abstract

Adopting a randomized controlled trial, this study compared the learning mechanisms and outcomes of a new gamification intervention (GMI) with those of cognitive-behavioral intervention (CBI) among Chinese employees. Results revealed that both interventions enhanced discriminative facility and coping flexibility, but only the GMI strengthened team cohesion and team effectiveness.
