Is Empathy to Physical Pain a Function of Political Ideology?

Is pain empathy a function of political ideology? We will present Republican and Democrat participants with target faces labeled as Republicans or Democrats and ranging in normed painful facial expressions. We predict a cross-over interaction between participant and target political ideology, showing higher ingroup pain empathy but equal pain perception.
