Weight Stigma and Health Behaviors: Evidence from the Eating in America Study

Abstract
In this cross-sectional study, we tested the relationships between weight stigma and multiple health behaviors in a national sample (N=2,022) via an online survey. Weight stigma was significantly associated with greater disordered eating, comfort eating, sleep disturbance, and alcohol use, but not lower physical activity.
