Abstract

Individuals high in psychopathy are often considered to lack emotional intelligence (EI), but empirical examination of this belief has been limited. This study examined the relationships between meanness in psychopathy and both ability and self-report EI. Results showed few significant relationships between meanness and EI, not supporting this common belief.
