Abstract

The present study extends work by Pfattheicher et. al (2020) by examining the influence of an empathy manipulation on attitudes towards mask wearing during COVID-19 in college students. We take an interdisciplinary approach using the Cognitive Humanities to understand the function and application of empathy towards ourselves and others.
