Psychopathology and Academic Outcomes in Youth

Abstract
The present study tests whether internalizing and externalizing symptoms predict differences in academic achievement and if peer regard mediates this relationship. Given the utility of considering multiple reporters when assessing maladjustment in youth, this study also looks at differences in teacher versus parent report of psychopathology.
