Men’s Conformity to Masculine Gender Role Norms: A Broad Association to Thought Suppression

This study included 785 men who recently experienced a stressful life event. Analyses focused on whether men’s conformity to hegemonic masculine gender role norms is correlated with higher levels of thought suppression. The results indicated a positive relationship between conformity to male role norms and engagement in thought suppression.
