Abstract
The tendency to justify questionable choices made by the Italian Government during the Covid-19 pandemic was a cubic function of experimentally manipulated increasing percentages of economic losses allegedly caused by social-distancing restrictions. Supporting EIT, this was true only for people highly-committed to the Government’s politics, not for their uncommitted counterparts.
