Abstract
Extant studies of parenting practices are often confounded by the comparison of low-income and less educated minority families to middle-class White families. Using a nationally representative sample of kindergarteners in the United States, this study examines how race/ethnicity intersects with family socioeconomic status to shape varied parenting practices.
